We are thrilled to update our new look at the Chamber. While we went through the process of creating a new clean modern look, we learned of the Chamber’s evolving role in helping create a brand for our community. The Chamber has been a partner with the city for many reasons throughout our long history together. In the last ten years we’ve even shared a similar logo.
During this process it came to our attention that the Chamber helped advocate for the City to invest in a branding campaign in order to clearly identify our community to the rest of the world. That is one reason we adopted the city’s “Unique by Nature” brand and helped reinforce the City’s messaging.
While that was important at the time, we have continued to evolve. The Chamber was the only non-government entity within the City’s branding. We found that overtime this lead to confusion (including but not limited to people trying to pay their water bill at our location).
In working with the City’s communication department we, along with the board, agreed that it made sense to create our own brand that still bears the resemblance of the city’s look and feel. We have adopted a color palate and group of fonts that compliments the city’s look. While we are a business trade association separate from city government we still work closely with the city as we grow our community. The city is our partner and we will continue to work together for the shared goals and values we have in common.
We hope you like the way we look. And we strive to emulate the words that we use to describe our new logo – modern, innovative, creative and sophisticated.
