Annual Community Awards

Each year we gather as a community to celebrate the businesses and individuals that have made a lasting impact on McKinney throughout the year and beyond. Awards are given by The City of McKinney, Visit McKinney, Downtown McKinney, McKinney Economic Development Corporation, McKinney Community Development Corporation, and McKinney Chamber of Commerce. Awards recognize commercial and residential development projects, city and volunteer partners, as well as the Carey Cox Citizen of the Year. Presented with a unique theme each year, the evening is always a memorable one!

Additionally, don’t miss out on the chance to bid on exclusive items and experiences in our online silent auction, offering an array of treasures to suit every taste. With each swing of the club, you’re not just enjoying a day of golf — you’re investing in the success of our local McKinney business community, ensuring the Chamber can continue to provide vital programming and events that foster growth and prosperity. New Teacher Welcome Breakfast

Join us as we welcome new MISD teachers and administrators, and give back to our educators and all of the hard work they do for our community!

Gather annually for our New Teacher Welcome Breakfast, marking the vibrant start to the MISD school year. This event features exhibit tables showcasing local businesses, along with goody bags and giveaways to warmly greet our new teachers. With a pep rally-themed program, it’s an energetic way to connect educators with the diverse businesses in our community, highlighting their invaluable support for our educational mission.

State of the City

Join the McKinney community as we learn more about how we work together to make McKinney the best it can be.

Held annually at Christ Fellowship Church, the community gathers to hear from distinguished speakers including Mayor George Fuller, City Manager Paul Grimes, Collin College President Dr. Neil Matkin and MISD Superintendent Shawn Pratt. They discuss successes and challenges in the City of McKinney over the past year, and look ahead to what is to come.
